Twenty-five years following the 9/11 attacks, a Reuters/Ipsos poll indicates that Americans are now more concerned about domestic extremists than foreign threats. This marks a significant shift in public sentiment compared to data collected a decade ago.

In mid-2013, only 21% of Americans identified domestic terrorism as the primary threat to the nation. At that time, 28% of respondents cited foreign terrorism as the top concern, while 51% pointed toward random acts of violence.
