The Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) has initiated efforts to permanently acquire 113 acres of historic salt-producing land in Kutubdia. According to the corporation, securing this land will facilitate improvements in salt quality, minimise post-production losses, enhance storage capacity, and streamline marketing systems.
