Ahead of Prime Minister Tarique's scheduled visit on August 9, the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has carried out an eviction drive. Approximately 50 illegal shops and food carts occupying the footpaths on both sides of SS Khaled Road, stretching from Kazir Dewri to Lalkhan Bazar, were removed during the operation.
