Data from the Department of Social Services indicates that Bangladesh is home to 3.634 million people with disabilities, a figure that includes approximately 500,000 visually impaired individuals. In Dhaka, the absence of tactile paving and the presence of various obstructions on footpaths continue to pose significant challenges for these individuals, severely limiting their mobility.
