EC bans posters and rallies in local government election campaigns

The Election Commission (EC) has issued new codes of conduct for local government elections. These regulations, which are largely identical across different tiers, apply to city corporations, district councils, upazila parishads, municipalities, and union councils. Under the updated guidelines, candidates are prohibited from using posters or organizing rallies as part of their election campaigns.
