The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected that Bangladesh's GDP growth will fall to 3.2% in the 2026-27 fiscal year, representing the lowest growth rate in 38 years.
This projection is notably more conservative than estimates from other global financial institutions. For the same period, the World Bank has forecasted a growth rate of 3.4%, while the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has projected 4%.
