Minister tells UN Ecosoc: 3-year LDC graduation extension aims to consolidate reforms

A government minister has informed the UN Economic and Social Council (Ecosoc) that the request for a three-year extension regarding the country's graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status is aimed at consolidating necessary reforms.

During the session, the president and vice-president of Ecosoc acknowledged the significant global challenges that developing nations encounter while transitioning out of the LDC category.
