The Process of the 1991 Presidential Election

While secret ballots are utilized in all general elections in Bangladesh, the presidential election is conducted through open voting. Because the vote is cast publicly, questions have arisen regarding whether a member of parliament would lose their seat if they were to vote for an opposition candidate.
