Over the past ten years, Dhaka's two city corporations have allocated more than Tk1,037 crore specifically for mosquito control efforts. According to data from TBS Bangladesh, the combined budget for this purpose reached Tk242 crore in the 2026 fiscal year alone. Despite this significant increase in financial allocation, the persistence of dengue remains a major concern.
