A bridge constructed over the Hugli River in Thirpara, Shariatpur, has remained unused for two years as the necessary approach roads were never built. According to the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), the project was intended to enhance connectivity between Sakhipur and the surrounding areas of Vedarganj and Naria upazila headquarters. Consequently, local residents are still forced to rely on a bamboo footbridge to cross the river.
