A Sri Lankan father and son have been rescued by Bangladeshi fishermen after their boat drifted at sea for 36 days.

A Sri Lankan fishing trawler, which had been drifting at sea for 36 days due to a mechanical failure, was spotted by a Bangladeshi fishing boat within Bangladesh's maritime boundary last Wednesday. The father and son on board were rescued and subsequently brought to Cox's Bazar.
