A 67-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex fossil, known as Gus, has fetched $50.1 million at an auction. Standing over 12 feet (4 metres) tall, the specimen is considered one of the most complete ever found. According to Sotheby's, more than 60% of the dinosaur's bones were recovered, contributing to its significant value.
