ADB approves $200m loan to modernise Bangladesh power distribution network

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has sanctioned a $200 million loan aimed at modernizing Bangladesh's power distribution infrastructure. Under this initiative, 1,150 megavolt-amperes of new transformer capacity will be installed across 52 substations. Additionally, the project includes upgrading 12 existing substations to increase their capacity by 115 megavolt-amperes.
