27,000 fires annually: Poor infrastructure and electrical faults cause Tk600cr loss

An average of 27,000 fire incidents occur annually across Bangladesh. These fires, largely attributed to poor infrastructure and electrical faults, lead to estimated financial losses of Tk600 crore per year.

Data indicates that the Dhaka division records the highest frequency of fire incidents. Furthermore, March has been identified as the most fire-prone month of the year.
