Bangladesh to begin full-fledged liver transplants next year

The health ministry has announced that Bangladesh is prepared to initiate full-scale liver transplant procedures starting next year. Officials noted that while such surgeries currently cost between Tk 70 lakh and Tk 1 crore abroad, the domestic cost is expected to be around Tk 30 lakh.
