Government plans to establish 1-million-tonne fertiliser factory in Saudi Arabia

According to sources within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh is working on a proposal to establish a fertiliser manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of 10 lakh tonnes. Under the proposed framework, the project will be operated by a joint venture company, with both the Bangladeshi and Saudi governments holding an equal 50% stake each.
