The Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association (Baffa) has reported that Biman Bangladesh Airlines set its exchange rate for export cargo at Tk123.65 per dollar, effective from 8 September. In comparison, the TT Clean rate at Sonali Bank on the same day was Tk122.50. Industry stakeholders note that this disparity is creating significant challenges for freight forwarders while providing a competitive advantage to foreign carriers.
