Brac and Prime Bank to join government urea import initiative; BCIC seeks Tk1,000cr guarantee

Brac Bank and Prime Bank are joining the government's initiative for urea fertilizer imports. In connection with this, the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) has requested a state guarantee of Tk1,000 crore. Currently, four state-owned banks are providing guarantees totaling Tk17,500 crore for fertilizer imports.
