The Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled a proposal for an integrated public transport network to accommodate rising travel demands. The project, estimated at Tk3,400 crore, aims to avoid the high costs of metro rail by instead implementing a system that combines approximately 700 modern buses, commuter rail services, and water buses.
