Ageing equipment leaves 1,000 tonnes of Chattogram waste uncollected daily

Chattogram is facing a significant waste management challenge as ageing equipment fails to keep up with daily collection demands, leaving 1,000 tonnes of waste uncollected. A Tk298 crore project aimed at upgrading the machinery is currently awaiting approval from the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec), though it faces hurdles regarding funding.
