To maintain stability in the prices of essential commodities and ensure a normal supply chain, the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection conducted a nationwide market monitoring drive.
A total of 51 teams operated across 38 districts, including Dhaka. During these inspections, 95 business establishments were fined a total of Tk5.6 lakh for various irregularities.
