Ctg Customs revenue from false declarations rises 83.6% in Q1

The Audit, Investigation and Research (AIR) wing of Chittagong Customs reported an 83.6% increase in revenue and fine collections during the first quarter of the current fiscal year. According to data from TBS Bangladesh, this marks a significant rise from the Tk31.7 crore collected during the same period in the previous fiscal year. Additionally, the number of consignments intercepted by the AIR wing grew by 29.4% compared to the 361 consignments recorded in the corresponding period of FY26.
