Experts urge focus on construction material emissions for low-carbon buildings

During a seminar held at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), experts highlighted that focusing solely on electricity consumption is insufficient for achieving low-carbon buildings. They stressed that the industry must also address the embodied carbon generated by construction materials. According to the experts, a comprehensive approach to building design and material selection is necessary to effectively reduce the overall carbon footprint of structures.
