Flour and aromatic rice prices rise amid persistent edible oil crisis in Dhaka
Despite a slight dip in overall inflation reported by the BBS for August, consumers in Dhaka report no relief in market prices.

According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the overall inflation rate for August was recorded at 8.26%, with food inflation at 7.02%. Although these figures indicate a slight decline compared to July, shoppers in Dhaka state that they are not experiencing any tangible relief in the retail market. Alongside the ongoing crisis regarding edible oil, prices for flour and aromatic rice have also seen an upward trend.
