Efforts to drill new wells and develop existing fields are underway to boost local gas supply.

In line with the commitments made by the BNP government, initiatives have been taken to increase gas supply from local sources by drilling new wells and developing existing gas fields. As part of this effort, 12.5 million cubic feet (CFT) of gas is set to be added to the national grid tomorrow. Furthermore, an additional 55 million CFT of gas is expected to be integrated into the grid within the next four months.
