Government moves to bring ETPs online to curb Buriganga pollution

To address the ongoing pollution of the Buriganga River, the government has initiated steps to bring Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) under an online monitoring system. Simultaneously, the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) is conducting routine dredging operations to enhance the river's navigability by extracting polluted sediment.
