Government to sign $1 billion loan deal for Eastern Refinery expansion

The government is scheduled to sign a $1 billion loan agreement tomorrow to facilitate the expansion of the Eastern Refinery. This financing proposal received approval during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Non-Concessional Loan (SCNCL) held on 7 July, which was presided over by Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.
