The Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) has implemented its first-ever policy aimed at valuing its Tk14,983 crore portfolio. This strategic move is designed to enhance financial transparency and mitigate risks associated with the overvaluation or undervaluation of assets.
The policy specifically addresses the corporation's significant holdings in non-listed securities, which previously lacked a systematic assessment process for determining fair value. By establishing these new guidelines, ICB seeks to standardize its asset valuation practices.
