Iran to increase fuel prices for heavy consumers

The Iranian government is set to increase fuel prices for heavy users, according to government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani. While the rates for the first and second quotas, covering 110 litres, will remain unchanged, the cost for the third quota will rise to 100,000 Iranian rials per litre. Based on the free-market exchange rate, this adjustment equates to approximately 4 US cents per litre, as reported by state media.
