The cost of the Metro Rail Line-5 project, which links Gabtoli to Daserkandi, has been reduced by Tk2,217 crore. This adjustment brings the total project cost to Tk45,503.77 crore. The reduction was primarily achieved by excluding interest costs, alongside revisions to land acquisition requirements and administrative expenses.
