Rupali Bank reports Tk640 crore loss in first half

State-owned Rupali Bank has reported a loss of Tk640 crore for the first half of the year. According to the bank, the financial shortfall was primarily caused by a reduction in interest income coupled with a significant rise in borrowing costs.
