Thousands protest in Lisbon over housing and living costs

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in Lisbon to voice their frustration over the rising cost of living and housing challenges. Portugal recorded an inflation rate of 3.6% in September. This economic pressure is largely attributed to the increasing prices of food and fuel. Notably, fuel costs have surged by 15% year-on-year, a trend linked to the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
