UK air traffic control glitch disrupts over 1,000 flights

A technical issue within the flight processing system of the UK air traffic control provider, Nats, resulted in the disruption of more than 1,000 flights. The incident began at approximately 1 p.m., causing significant delays across the aviation network. Although Nats successfully identified and implemented a fix by 4:40 p.m., the four-hour outage created a substantial backlog of flights that continued to impact operations.
