US deploys laser weapons in Hormuz and border regions

After five decades of development, high-energy laser technology is shifting from the testing phase to active operational deployment. The US Army has finalized a $464.8 million production contract for these systems. Currently, the technology is being utilized in the Hormuz region and has been deployed to counter drones along the southern border of the United States.
