Alphabet has officially withdrawn the AI-driven image generation feature from Google Earth due to policy violations. The tool, which was powered by Google's Nano Banana 2 AI model, allowed users to create photorealistic images based on specific locations.
By entering text prompts, users were previously able to generate imagery grounded in the platform's existing satellite, aerial, and 3D data. The company has now ceased this functionality.
