Bangladesh Bank has tightened regulations regarding the import of boilers and boiler components. Under the new directive, importers are now required to obtain prior approval before bringing these items into the country.
This policy change follows a memorandum issued by the Boiler Wing of the Ministry of Industries on 28 June, 2026. The central bank has mandated that these rules be implemented immediately for all relevant imports.
