Bongobazar, formerly renowned for its affordable fashion and export-surplus clothing, was decimated by a massive fire in 2023. In the aftermath, the market's traders have been dispersed across various locations in Dhaka. They continue to wait for the construction of a new facility that would allow them to consolidate their businesses once again.
