The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has imposed fines on 13 buses in Chattogram for collecting fares exceeding the government-fixed rates. In their defense, the bus drivers cited gas shortages and a reduction in the number of daily trips as the primary reasons for charging higher fares.
