The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reported that climate change impacts have displaced approximately 5 million people in Bangladesh. Dr. Laura Tomm-Bonde, Chief of Mission for IOM Bangladesh, shared these figures during a relief distribution event for flood-affected families in Chattogram's Banshkhali Upazila on Monday, 22 July.
According to a press release, Dr. Tomm-Bonde highlighted that Bangladesh remains one of the most disaster-prone nations globally due to the ongoing effects of climate change.
