The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit has stated that there are no indications of a militant resurgence within the country. Despite this, authorities are maintaining ongoing surveillance measures. These observations follow recent statements from senior members of the interim government, who have previously asserted that militancy no longer exists in Bangladesh.
