The government is currently assessing the situation regarding the possibility of joining the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, commonly referred to as the Mecca Pact. According to Shama, the matter is under evaluation. The agreement was officially signed on August 7, 2026, and currently includes Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey as its primary partners.
