Bangladesh has officially finalised a reform roadmap aimed at securing an extension for its graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) status. The decision was formalised during the inaugural meeting of the National Graduation Monitoring and Coordination Committee, held on 29 July and chaired by the finance minister. As part of this strategy, the government plans to lobby UN member states to support a delay in the graduation timeline.
