The Vice-Chancellor of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has emphasized the necessity of both immediate and long-term strategies to tackle the ongoing energy crisis. He proposed expanding solar energy capacity by utilizing rooftop installations and medium-scale grid-connected projects.
According to the expert, a 'plug-and-play' model could be highly effective, where the government facilitates land and grid connectivity, allowing developers to compete in providing electricity at more affordable rates.
