Govt agencies increase use of Maddhapara stone following PM's import curb directive
Government agencies have ramped up the utilization of Maddhapara stone in development projects following the Prime Minister's directive to reduce imports.
Following a directive from the Prime Minister to limit imports, government agencies have intensified the use of stone sourced from Maddhapara. The material is currently being utilized for riverbank protection initiatives across Chapainawabganj, Kurigram, Thakurgaon, Pabna, and Sirajganj. Authorities also have plans to incorporate this stone into additional erosion-control schemes in the future.
