Following a directive from the Prime Minister to limit imports, government agencies have intensified the use of stone sourced from Maddhapara. The material is currently being utilized for riverbank protection initiatives across Chapainawabganj, Kurigram, Thakurgaon, Pabna, and Sirajganj. Authorities also have plans to incorporate this stone into additional erosion-control schemes in the future.
