Local residents staged a three-hour blockade on the Hathazari-Khagrachhari highway to protest against poor road safety conditions. According to the protesters, the Hathazari-Nazirhat section of the highway is prone to frequent accidents due to a lack of adequate safety measures at various points along the route.
