The government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, is set to launch a monitoring application to oversee its five-year afforestation programme. This initiative, which serves as a key election pledge, aims to plant 25 crore saplings to combat environmental degradation and the impacts of climate change, according to an official release.
