According to reports published in Dhaka on Friday, Saudi Arabia maintained its position as the leading source of remittances for Bangladesh in the last fiscal year. Conversely, there has been a notable decline in remittances originating from the United States. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has increased its LNG imports from the US by 61 percent, positioning the country as the 17th largest buyer of American LNG. The reports also highlighted that the government is currently facing economic pressure due to rising expenditures coupled with limited revenue growth.
