A joint operation conducted in Dhaka's Shyambazar area resulted in the seizure of 4.8 tonnes of illegal polythene. During the drive, two traders were fined a total of Tk1 lakh. The operation was led by Dhaka South City Corporation Executive Magistrate Md Aminul Islam.
