The United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence has deepened its reliance on SpaceX, reporting a total expenditure of nearly $40 million on the company's satellite services. Official figures indicate that the ministry currently operates approximately 1,000 Starshield terminals and 500 Starlink terminals.
Financial records show that the government has spent £13 million, equivalent to $17.6 million, on Starshield, which covers both hardware terminals and airtime. Additionally, the ministry has allocated £16.5 million for Starlink services. These investments highlight the growing integration of SpaceX technology into British defence operations.
