Chattogram proposes Tk3,400cr integrated transport network
To address the projected doubling of travel demand by 2050, the Chattogram Development Authority has proposed a Tk3,400 crore integrated public transport system.

The Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled a proposal for an integrated public transport network to manage the city's rising transit needs. Instead of opting for expensive metro rail projects, the authority plans to implement a system featuring approximately 700 modern buses, commuter rail services, and water buses. The project, estimated at Tk3,400 crore, is designed to accommodate the anticipated doubling of daily trips in the city by the year 2050.
